Looking for a Mover Near Evergreen?

Evergreen sits in Calgary's southwest quadrant, tucked south of Fish Creek Provincial Park with the Stoney Trail ring road as its western edge. 162 Avenue SW forms the southern border, and the community runs east toward Shawnee Slopes, Millrise, and Shawnessy. The Calgary Evergreen Community Association gives 37 Street SW as the west boundary and the park as the north. Sitting at roughly 1,100 metres of elevation, it is one of the higher and greener corners of the deep south.

The community is split in two by Fish Creek Boulevard. North of it is Evergreen Estates, which started developing in 1986. South of it is Evergreen proper, which came in around 1999, with the bulk of the homes going up between 2001 and 2010. It is a big, established neighbourhood. Around 21,500 people live here across roughly 7,256 dwellings, which makes Evergreen the fourth most populous community in Calgary. Almost everything is single-family detached, and only about 1.3% of the housing is rental, so most of our moves here are families going house to house.

That housing mix is exactly why the right mover matters. A neighbourhood of detached homes on sloped lots moves differently than a tower or a townhouse row.

What Evergreen Moves Actually Deal With

The land in Evergreen slopes toward Fish Creek, so walkout basements and walkout bi-levels are common here. That is great for daylight and backyard access, and it means stairs. A lot of stairs. Bedroom sets, sofas, and basement gym gear often have to come up a split-level run or out a lower walkout door instead of straight out the front. We plan the carry route before move day so a heavy piece is never wedged halfway up a landing while somebody figures it out on the spot.

The Fish Creek Boulevard split causes its own small headache. Evergreen Estates addresses and south-Evergreen addresses can read almost the same on paper but sit on opposite sides of that spine, so we confirm which side of the boulevard a home is on before the truck rolls. On top of that, the 2001-to-2010 build stock came with attached garages, established driveways, and mature landscaping, and the newer suburban streets curl into narrow cul-de-sacs. We scout where the truck can sit so we are not blocking a neighbour or dragging a load an extra fifty feet down a crescent.

Getting here is the easy part. Our office is in Midnapore, which is bounded on the west by Macleod Trail, and Evergreen sits directly across Macleod Trail and Fish Creek Park from us. The James McKevitt Road interchange is the quick crossing between the two, so we are one short hop over Macleod Trail from your driveway. Whether it is a full house move, a load of heavy items up a walkout stairwell, or packing and unpacking the kitchen and the fragile pieces, we handle the Evergreen version of the job daily.

What We Offer in Evergreen

Whole-Home Moves for Detached Houses

Evergreen is a neighbourhood of single-family homes, and that is our bread and butter. A uniformed crew wraps the furniture in moving blankets, shrink-wraps the soft pieces, lays rubber-backed floor runners over your hardwood and tile at both ends, and carries the load out to the truck and into the new place. Beds, tables, and wall units get taken apart and rebuilt so nothing travels loose. It is the same careful residential moving service whether you are moving a few streets over within Evergreen or heading out to another community.

Stairs, Walkout Basements, and Heavy Pieces

Walkout bi-levels mean split-level carries, and split-level carries mean the awkward stuff. Treadmills and home gyms out of a finished basement, a safe from the office, an appliance from the lower level. Our crew brings the proper dollies, straps, and padding, protects the walls and railings on the turns, and works the stairs slowly and safely. We also handle the furniture disassembly and reassembly that a stair-heavy home needs, so a sectional or a bed frame comes apart to clear the landing and goes back together upstairs.

Packing and Unpacking at Your Pace

Most Evergreen moves want more than muscle. We can pack the whole house or just the kitchen and the breakables, and we bring the cartons, paper, tape, and labels with us. Complimentary wardrobe cartons keep hanging clothes on the hanger, mirror cartons protect framed art and glass, and mattress bags keep beds clean on the drive. On the other end we unpack, set the furniture where you want it, and take the empty cartons away so the new place is livable that week instead of a month later.

Moves Out to BC and Across the Province

Plenty of Evergreen families are not moving across town. They are heading to the coast or the Okanagan. Alberta to BC is our specialty, run by one crew the whole way over the Trans-Canada, the Coquihalla, or the Okanagan Connector. Nothing gets handed to a second company or a transfer warehouse. See our interprovincial moving service for how those runs work and what to expect on the long leg.

Why Evergreen Customers Choose Us

We're a Few Minutes Across Macleod Trail

Our base in Midnapore flanks Fish Creek Park the same way Evergreen does, just on the east side of Macleod Trail. That proximity is real money on your invoice. Since the crew starts and ends the day close by, you are not paying a long stretch of travel time to get a truck across the city. We are one of the closest full-service moving crews to Evergreen there is.

We Know the Neighbourhood, Not Just the Postal Code

We know Evergreen is split by Fish Creek Boulevard into Estates and south Evergreen, we know the walkout bi-levels come with stairs, and we know the cul-de-sacs off the newer streets are tight for a truck. A competitor's generic Evergreen page will not tell you any of that. That local read is why the day runs smoothly instead of turning into a puzzle on your driveway.

Billed by the Hour, Quoted Up Front

We charge by the hour, for the actual hours the crew works, and we quote it up front before anything is booked. We never do flat-rate guesswork. The rate covers the crew, the truck, the dollies and straps, the moving blankets and shrink wrap, the rubber-backed floor runners, and the complimentary wardrobe cartons, mirror cartons, and mattress bags. What moves the hours is what always moves them. How much is coming, how many stairs and walkout landings are in play, and how much packing you want us to handle. We walk it through with you first and break down the whole number.

Bonded, Insured, and BBB A+

We are fully bonded and insured on every move and BBB accredited with an A+ rating, backed by a 4.8-star rating across 29 Google reviews. The crew is uniformed and identifiable, which matters when they are working through your home and your neighbour's cul-de-sac. It is why so much of our Evergreen work comes from referrals and repeat customers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you move homes across Evergreen and Evergreen Estates?

Yes. We move both sides of the community, north of Fish Creek Boulevard in Evergreen Estates and south of it in Evergreen proper. We confirm which side of the boulevard your address is on before move day, since the two read alike on paper but sit apart.

Can you handle a walkout basement or bi-level move?

Yes, and it is common here. Evergreen slopes toward Fish Creek, so walkout bi-levels and split-level carries come up a lot. We plan the stair route ahead of time, pad the railings and turns, and bring the dollies and straps for the heavy pieces coming up from a lower level.

How close is your crew to Evergreen?

Very close. Our office is in Midnapore, just across Macleod Trail and Fish Creek Park from Evergreen, reached over the James McKevitt Road interchange. Being one short hop away keeps the travel time on your invoice short.

How do you price an Evergreen move?

By the hour, for the actual hours the crew works, quoted up front before you book. No flat-rate guessing. The hours depend on how much is coming, how many stairs and walkout landings are involved, and how much of the packing you want us to do.

Can you get a truck into the cul-de-sacs off the newer streets?

Yes. A lot of Evergreen's 2001-to-2010 streets curl into narrow cul-de-sacs with mature landscaping and established driveways. We scout where the truck can sit so we are not blocking a neighbour or carrying your load an extra distance down a crescent.

Do you pack, or just move?

Both. We can pack the whole house or just the kitchen and the fragile pieces, and we bring the boxes, paper, and labels. Wardrobe cartons, mirror cartons, and mattress bags are complimentary. We unpack and set up on the other end too, and take the empty cartons away.

Can you move furniture that needs to come apart for the stairs?

Yes. Beds, tables, wall units, and sectionals get taken apart to clear a landing or a doorway and rebuilt at the new place, with the hardware tracked per piece so nothing goes missing on the way up the stairs.

We're moving from Evergreen to BC. Can you do that?

Yes, that is our specialty. Alberta to BC is run by one crew the whole way over the Trans-Canada, the Coquihalla, or the Okanagan Connector, with no transfer warehouse and no swapping trucks. We pack the load for the mountain highways so nothing shifts on the drive.

What is included in the hourly rate?

The crew, the truck, the dollies and straps, the moving blankets and shrink wrap, the rubber-backed floor runners, and the complimentary wardrobe cartons, mirror cartons, and mattress bags. Packing materials are part of the job, not a separate invoice.

How much notice do you need to book?

A week or two is ideal for a full house move, especially in the busy summer season. If you need something sooner, call us. If we have a crew open, we can often fit a short-notice Evergreen move in without cutting corners.
